if you don't mind having a used part, there really is no problems. You can't afford anythign new, mind as well buy it used. Just make sure it is in good condition visually unless you don't care about that either.

yeah why not? Unless you are a freak who has to have everything new, there is nothing wrong with picking up something with a little wear....

I actually buy most of my performance parts used, because, at least for me, I only ever end up using them a year or so then I sell them/change the part/or trade in the car...

Just get it used, most of the used ones you find usually dont have that much milage on them anyways, all you have to do is make sure there are no leaks in it when you install it. Who cares if it has a couple of scrapes or scratches on it, its under the car and you prob wont see it

as well all know, nothing lasts for ever this includes metal. most of these exhausts today are coming out of china. you might say to youself that stainless steel is stainless steel but that just isnt the case. ive personally seen exhausts constructed of cheap steel explode while driving. as you might deduce, this really isnt safe. i say buy new, metal just isnt metal these days.

The life of the exhaust will be based on the materials used. Most of the top manufacturers used high grade stainless steel - and that isn't going to oxidize for decades...

Lol - explosions in the exhaust system means the engine is running too rich with unburnt vapors in the exhaust stream. Explosions in any exhaust system, regardless of steel quality, is a "bad thing".
