has anyone experienced problems from instaling a CAI, I recently instaled a injen intake and 3 days later my engine light came on, the dealership is telling me my fuel mix is running lean and that the problem is steming from my CAI, anyone have any suggestions please get back to me

Try disconnecting the battery for about 10 minutes, then reconnect, wait another 10 minutes, then turn on car. See if the light's still on.

Mine's been perfect since I installed it. Like westpack said, get the code that set it off. Dealerships are pretty good about trying to everything they can to screw you out of your warranty. (Or at least in my experience.)

Like some of the others said, disconnect the negative battery cable for 10-30 minutes. I had mine disconnected while I installed it, like the instructions say to do. Took about an hour to install, so I knew the ECU had cleared. When I was done, I connected the negative battery cable, started the car, let it idle for a few minutes while I put up tools. Then I took it for a drive and was pleased with the results. I have not had a problem yet and it has been about 2 weeks now. The secret is disconnecting the negative battery cable so the ECU can relearn air/fuel map ratios.

no problems with the engine so far....

BUT

when i reach high RPM's in 1st 2nd and 3rd i hear a squeek.
i dont know where its coming from....i think its coming from the intake filter. not sure though.

is it possible the filter is wet and thats y i get this noise at high rpm's??

i have the intake running all the way to the bottom of the front grille of the car.
im a bit annoyed by this noise.
anyone have any ideas?

Mine does make a squeaking noise for a split second when I tap or hit the gas. I just think it is the air sucking into the throttle body when it opens and the open cone filter amplifying the sound or something of that nature. I don't think it is hurting anything.

Default dealers??????

Just had some warranty work done so i used this time to have them check why at idle my rpm's would drop eratically from
750-500 . and also asked if they would change the timing also... well there first answer was that is the way nissan set it so they wont help me with the timing.!
2nd they said that i am getting more air now with my CAI so that i am running lean so tough luck with the idle problem too.. i struck out here. anybody in NJ
able to get a dealer to change there timing? if so please tell me where.
and is it true that the CAI is making my car idle funny????
thanks
