Blue AEM CAI w/valve
I just installed my AEM CAI with the valve with the help of Iboost... thnx buddy...
some pics:
Clean job ... the valve was kinda tricky ...
The day after we installed South Florida gets flooded... little bit scary ... oh well ... I'm driving carefully.
Cheers.

why AEM over others?
Im thinking of putting either an AEM or Injen CAI on my ride, and I'm trying to figure which one people like more and why. What made you choose AEM over other brands?

I think the AEM looks and sounds better. I have seen pics of Injen's and AEM's, and AEM's has less black, more show, but since it is metal a little more go too. The AEM's sounds meaner/deeper than the Injen in my opinion. It sort of depends on the exhaust you get. If you get the Injen exhaust it will compliment the intake or vice versa.

deeba: It is a bypass valve. CAI's are closer to the ground as you can tell, and many people 'believe' that water can get into your engine if you run into a puddle and water gets in the intake. It is almost impossible unless you run into a lake or something deep enough and for a long enough time for it to suck up enough water to seize the engine. It robs some hp. I think it is BS, if your car goes into the lake you can pretty much kiss it goodbye anyway.
