Cool, so how much does that weigh?

And I'm not hating or anything but why buy that exhaust and then mate it with an ebay, no-name y-pipe?

Very nice exhaust, but whats up with the ebay y-pipe??
I would slap on a Tanabe y-pipe.

i will do a complete weigh test between this setup, stock, and xo2. i think it is 18-19 lbs.

and as far as y-pipe, i had a nismo system a few years back, so i'll see how the ebay one compares. from the pix it looks identical. i'm also a proud owner of an xo2 exhaust, and the build quality there is very good. so y-pipe is a y-pipe. it will never be seen, so as long as it is built well , it will be fine. and to be honest, i would use the stock one, but it is not 3'' out.

on the pics, one is e-bay and the other is Fujitsubo - Nismo

great exhaust. I would go for better y pipe personally, but to
to each his own. I have a tanabe y waiting to use for when my amuse arrives. Using stock y pipe would defeat the purpose of the free flowing two piece exhaust imo

i just added some pix of y-pipes, and yep, even though 07 y-pipe is better then earlier models , it is not as good as aftermarket, and is heavy as crap.

Get a y pipe that matches the diamter of the exhaust. You wont get any whooshing sounds that a lot of people are plauged by with HFC or TP. I had a whistling sound with my exhaust and when I bought a matching Y pipe (2.5 inlet, 3'' collector) it all went away

He keeps saying why, it is almost identical. Let him be like 5 people have basically said the same thing. My 2 cents. Awesome exhaust I would have bought it just too expensive....

we're not sh!tting on the y pipe, but we felt that you should get a product that has been true and tried. also, the quality of the generic ebay products aren't that great. so we're just asking the question of, "such a great exhaust, but why save a few bucks on the y pipe?"

props for the amuse!

so you guys don't like the y-pipe because it is a chinese replica and has no brand name. how bout berk HFC's ? is berk a name? is it a s cool as PE or JIC ? I don't get it.... anyway, like i said, i'll look at it, if it looks good, i'll keep it. then later-on if i see a Ti Y for sale ( used ) , i might get it.

y-pipe was $ 99 shipped !!! it's like a good meal now days....

I understand this is the exhaust I bought new and sold on here a few months back. Whether you do it now or later, you will eventually get rid of that e-pipe and get you a real one. The outlet of a JIC Y-pipe is exactly the same diameter as the inlet to the Amuse. Hint, hint.
