Not sure how true this is, but I've always heard that OBX made crap stuff. Maybe someone else can give a little more sound info? good luck.

+1...some might argue with me but you've got a $30k vehicle, why would you want to even consider putting cheap or no name parts on it?

You will be better off having your OEM exhaust

ya obx is a nismo knock off from ebay. I saw it one on a local DB Z and and it didn't look too bad, but i didn't get to hear it. I wouldn't get it though just because it is so cheap. Keep the OEM instead otherwise.

Go for it. 1 post and you already got the best idea for an exhaust.

if I did the math right, off of EBAY you'll be looking at $299 plus $70 shipping. You can find a good used namebrand exhaust on here usually around 500-600. I paid $500 total for a used Borla True Dual exhaust.

If you want a $370 exhaust for sound, buy the OBX. If you want quality materials and actual performance (not just a ricey sound), then go with one of the trusted namebrand exhausts.

They're famous for not sending any needed hardware like hangers, bolts, nuts and gaskets. Their stuff isn't total crap but for the hassle you'll go thru getting the necessary hardware, you'll wish you'd of spent a little more dough for better quality.

Look at maybe the x02 exhaust. It can be had for around 500 to 600 brand new at iptuned.com. Everyone that has it loves it including me.

So if we are against the OBX exhaust does the same hold true for the Magnaflow exhaust on a Z.

I was contemplating the Borla True Dual exhaust - how do you like it? I'm very open to better sound while accelerating - but still looking to keep @same sound level on cruise as stock. What do you think?

sighhh i have it.... no its not that bad. its stainless steel the fitment was fine. only problem is it does very little... its not much louder and didnt feel any power increase but that seems to be the case with any Z exhaust. it looks nice tho haha. o and i agree didnt come with all the stuff needed no flanges!

but yeah no ricey sound at all so none of u have heard the exhaust cuz its just ever so slightly louder then stock. less then say a nismo even does...
