Due to the recent incidents involving RebelinRI we have decided to revoke his sponsorship as well remove him from the site. If you have any open business with him please send me a PM with the details of your open transaction and I will forward you his contact info. Sorry for any inconvenience this causes anyone.

Hey guys, just got back from New Jersey. Anyways, i don't have a scanner, so as of right now, you can check out the dyno sheet that I took a picture of, i will try to get it scanned when I can, Tony has a scanned version. My car is a 2006 6spd with 22k miles on it and a nismo exhaust, other than that, completely stock. I can't really say if the gains are noticable because my butt dyno sucks and I don't remember how fast the car was before this, so sorry about that, lol.

Baseline was at 256 hp i think.

With the mrev2, peak was at 258 hp

With the mrev2 and spacer it peaked at 263.9 hp

I do not know how to evaluate the graph, but I am sure a lot of you guys will know if it is correct, Julian can pop in and mention anything important. Here they are, i posted them a couple times because i do not know which one is easiest to read. I also have videos, but I do not know how to upload them somewhere or post them, if anyone could help out, that would be great.

Every time I tried putting the images on, they were really big, so i just put the links.

Default Dyno Results

Hi Guys,

The independnt test results were excellent.

The plots will be hosted on my website shortly.

The testing sequence and results were very charecteristic of the testing that has been done by Nissan North America, Import Tuner and Modified Magazine. So the results are essentially a repeat of everything done in the past.

Here is a brief description of the test sequence and results:

1) Baseline of a fully stock plenum - Pink - Yeilding a normal baseline curve.

2) Test set #2 was MREV2 with no spacer - Green - A significant gain through most of the curve up to ~6K RPM with a roll off beyond that.

3) Test set #3 was the MREV2 with a 5/16" spacer - Blue - Classic spacer results showing a divergence starting at ~5.5K RPM producing high RPM gains. The spacer basically put back what was lost at the top end leaving very significant gains below 6200 RPM.

The final result is a greatly enhanced power curve. The car is clearly faster with this mod. Daily driving, 1/4 mile or time to top speed.

I'll ask Julian @ MRC if he can send me the raw dyno data in text format. I don't know if it is possible on a DD dyno machine, but if it is, I'll put all the data into Excel for explicit and detailed analysis.
All the A minus B plots. Area under the curve and the average power per gear. I'll post everything.

----------------------------

On a different subject.

I read through this whole crazy thread again, links and all, and saw the bigger picture of how much support I recieved.

I would like to tank everyone for all the support here and via the PM's and emails. It is all greatly appreciated.

And special thanks to Kyle and all the Moderators and Admin here on MY350Z.com and G35Driver.com

It is completely recognized and greatly appreciated.

Here you go, I think this is the best one.

EDIT: This was a revup with the 7K redline? It is always puzzling over what is going on past the 6k++ point where everyone stops. Does this combo drop off quicker than the OEM?

On my dyno, I need to set up the dyno to aquire data to 6900 RPM. If I set my dyno to 7000 RPM and the cars ECU only goes to 6999 RPM, the dyno program thinks its an incomplete run and labels it as an incomplete run.

So on my dyno, I have to set it up to aquire data to any value slightly less than what the ECU will allow. And each ECU has its own slightly different value. I find that going to 6900 RPM will cover any Z or G and theri respective ECU.

As for MRC's dyno, only Julian or someone familiar with the DD could answer.
I have seen that roller dynos often can be run right up to the 7K RPM red line limiter and still show up as some value less than 7K RPM on the printed dyno plot. Wierd.

Tach pickup wire calibration? I don't know how or why this happens, but I've just seen it many times on roller dynos.

I was always under the assumption that since it is a lower collector from a non-RevUp engine, it makes peak power where the non-RevUp's do (I forget exactly where, 6400 maybe?).

I would like to hear an official response though.

The X and Y axis could be put in easier to understand units, but the above plots look like they were run all the way to the limiter.

That is correct, peak power will be below the redline. I was referring to the curve as it approaches the limiter with the OEM lower collector and with the MREV/spacer configuration. It is only a theoretical question for me since I've never bounced it off the limiter.

It looks like the mrev2 with spacer at the end is still at the same peak horsepower where the stock was at, so thats good it remained the same, but incredible that it made so much more power everywhere else, so I maintain my rev-up style with more power underneath, thats what it looks like right? I also have videos if anyone wants to help me put them up.
