As demonstrated on the REVUP with a MREV, the 5/16" makes a higher average than the 1/2" spacer.
As demonstrated on the REVUP with a MREV+, the 5/16" makes a higher average than the 1/2" spacer.
It would be unreasonalble to expect a different result on the MREV2.

The difference between the 1/2" and 5/16" spacer is due to plenum internal volume and not just clearance above the runners. To a point, a lower internal volume increases the average area under the curve. A higher internal volume increases peak power at high RPM's. Overall, the 5/16" spacer is better optimum.

If you would like to compare the 5/16" spacer to the 1/2" spacer on a MREV2 please do. But for everyone else with a NA 350Z, I generally don't recommend the 1/2" spacer due to the strut bar being removed and the higher average power occuring with a 5/16" spacer.

Im sure if you test it, the difference between 5/16" and 1/2" will be small. And you will lose your strut bar with the 1/2" spacer.

Not worth it in my opinion.
cool , hydra thanks for the info always good stuff learned. WHERES THE EXHAUST. lol jk

Jonathan,
Thank you for taking the time to open up your plenum and take pictures .

The supposed "MREV2" he sold you is 100% Phony.

Its not even a good job. It looks like a lazy excuse to make a fast buck. I would estimate that lower plenum only has about 30 minutes worth of work put into it.

No finishing work. No machine work on the other (un named runners). No re-contouring. No buffing. No edge breaking. No refinishing of any kind.

It's a quick and dirty knock off.

Sorry you had to go through this.
PM me your adress. I'll send you a real one for all your trouble.

Tony
----

To everyone,

Please remember these pictures. Fluid dynamically it is entirely incorrect. A real MREV2 will never look like this.

Tony

--------

Moderators and Admin,

If you have any questions at all about the pictures I sent in previously. Please let me know.

The pictures are pretty much self explanatory.

Tony

Now that is a vendor loyal to his product and customers. I dont know how anyone could doubt Tony's morals when it comes to the 350z community. He is replacing several hundred dollars worth of products at the cost of someone elses downfall. Nothing short of amazing.

After I installed my "MREV2"and when for a quick spin, I thought to myself this can't be what everybody been talking about. I have read countless threads here and on every other 350Z/G35 forums around, and everybody said the difference is like day and night. I don't "feel" much of anything, than I thought besides my flywheel, I don't feel much anything after all my other bolt-ons. So I never questioned it, until Tony PM'ed me. Fake PARTS FTL

Amuse is always a good choice.

Besides, there is plenty of MD components you can use with the Amuse. You're gonna like it.

Oh wow, just read through all the pages here, I'm glad I went directly to Tony for the MREV2 and 5/16" spacer. . .worked out very well and sounds awesome! Too bad it's winter and I can't get enough traction to really open it up

Tony was very polite and professional while handling all my n00b questions lol. Was received in Edmonton in less than a week, easiest place I've ever had to deal with! Looking forward to dealing with him in the future as well!. . .

here's my kit btw!

and the car it went into!

Thanks again Tony and sorry you had to go through all this. . .

Thanks for posting the pics Nismo240R.

I couldn't post them, but at least now, everyone else can see the differences.

That's the first time I've ever seen a true MREV2. I just assumed that mine looked like everyone elses

I said this:
that's good that we've narrowed it down at this point to just one "false" or misleading MREV2 it seems. no others have been confirmed correct since this one is actually the real deal.

your response was this:

Do you know how many of them were fakes vs real? (many were listed as "Sold")
Do you know how many were sold off line? Or in a covert fashion like Rebels response to Citymunkys WTB ad?

Rebel needs to answer many questions.

(See the attached picture below) This was one of the last "for sale" pictures Rebel posted. This was listed long after App6MT and shortly after Citymunky. Rebel advertised this as being a "MREV2" and it is a fake.
Every "for sale" post with fake pictures is a fraudulent ad. If it was sold it also constitutes a scam.

It's a real disappointment to see a board member and sponsor doing this.
you're completely correct that it's a disaappointment and downright shame for a member and sponsor misleading others and lying to a member as in citymunky's case.

but what other items are you talking about when you mention that others have bought thinking they were MREV2s but in fact were not.

it is still in the air as "what if" they were sold to others and "what if" they were actually fakes. I don't know the answer to those questions and you don't either. as a matter of fact the only ones who know those answers are going to be those that purchased them and RebelinRI.

so far as solid evidence goes we have 2 items with solid evidence:
citymunky's : fake
app6MT: real

again I only mention this as a voice of reason. let's not count our chickens before they've hatched.

Civic,

You have been either intentionally or ignorantly misreading my posts. I chose my words carefully. I havn't counted any chickens. But what I write won't matter to you. It is obvious you have no intention of being impartial or objective.

From the beginning you have been riding RebelRI's coat tails, lawering for him in every thread on every board.

Rebel lied to you, the moderators and the entire forum. He ripped me off, liebeled my reputation, ripped off Citymunky, posted several fakes for sale (that were marked as sold) and yet you still advocate for him in every thread.
