Borla TD Magnaflow X-Pipe
Video after the install of the Magnaflow X-Pipe on my Borla True Dual. Just something me and Josh threw together.

Okay... What are we suppose to be looking for? Sorry to tell you, but there is no perceptible audible difference in that subjective comparison. There is no way we could tell what you were doing with the throttle or how you were driving it to gage a distinction. Did it have more power?
No, it eliminated the rasp. There was another thread about this that I got it from, but there wasn't really any good videos. I thought I put it in the description I'll check it again.
Why didn't you opt for resonated test pipes? I'd imagine you wouldn't have needed the X-pipe if you got resonated. In any case, the video clip is great and gives you a very good idea of how much the MF X-pipe fixes.
I looked for a while for a good set of resonated tp's cheap but all I found was those. I didn't think that it would be as raspy as it was though. The X-Pipe def made a better sound out of the exhaust though none the less.
I guess you hear what you want to hear. I turned up the volume all the way and the only thing I could hear clearly was how loud the passing family car was! We are comparing apples and oranges. There was no inside clip for the before, and the outside clips were filmed under different conditions as far as speed and acceleration. I'm not saying that the OP can't hear a difference, I'm saying I can't tell from that clip because there is nothing to compare against that gives me a reference point. When you try to show people how something has changed using a web clip (VERY low bit rate) you need to keep all the before and after conditions and test parameters the same.

I don't understand what's to figure out...when he pulls off the road in the before segment, you can clearly hear a butt load of rasp. When he does it in the after video, you can hear just teeeeeny bit of it, it was barely even audible.

I've ordered my Magnaflow X. I'm going to do a before and after for the rasp or "rattlesnake" sound.
For those of you that want to see if it's a metal on metal sound or the rasp, take the car into 2nd gear (on AT) and go up to about 30-37 mph. It makes nasty hissing, sputtering, rattle sound that sounds absolutely horrible. Accelerate hard or shift up and the sound is no longer there.
You can see it's coming from the H-Pipe as well. All my pipes look fairly new except for the H-pipe. I have the clamp and H secured tightly, it's got this nasty brownish color right here the H pipes meet. Also, you can hear the hiss / rattle / rasp or whatever else you want to call it coming right from that area. I tested this by taking a board under the car while someone revved and putting it between my head and the back half of the car. (like a sound barrier) I kept moving around until I found the culprit, which was the H. Anyways, I'm looking forward to see how this mod turns out! Kudos to for the advice all.

Just put on my Magnaflow x pipe on the borla, and my exhaust is super quiet, you definately need test pipes, or HFC's if your gonna run this setup.
The good about this mod it kills all rasp, and I could feel a slight gain in power, but it also adds a couple of pounds.
But I have to thank The op for all the help.
Now I need some Berks.

Hey, glad you decided to go with the x-pipe. You should definately get some test pipes, mine has a little rasp, but not near as much as other exhaust setups. I would go with some resonated test pipes and see what that sounds like.
I forgot all about this thread... I've got my X-pipe in with my Berk HFCs and love it.
Nice and deep (it did get a tiny bit more quiet, but that's expected with a resonated pipe). I'm especially pleased when getting on it, I can't hear any rasp at all.
The only time I hear a tiny bit of rasp is when revving, and even then you wouldn't notice it unless you were trying to listen for it. Great mod.
