you can put an optional screw in there to cut back on noise.

What does the original plenum look like inside? It appears to be a simple cut and weld.

The hole is there for a cap or screw (just glancing at the excellent pictorial instruction booklet.) Mine is going to mounted with a flux capicator.

It appears to be a simple cut and weld.
And months of research, come one now let's not get carried away already I just posted the at the door pics.

Months of Dyno proven research went into this Plenum to find where the gains could be made at. Credit is due for that it wasn't simple. Maybe for a welder with a Dyno, but I am neither. If thoere are some of you out there you have my respect. Welders make the big bucks here in Kali and live in tri story houses with 3 car garages!

Woops. I didn't mean to imply the plenum was easy to duplicate or was done overnight. It looks as though they cut half the top off and welded on a new plate. When you replace your plenum, please take a picture of the old one (interior).

Thanks the instructions are top notch, pictures are always helpful and the tool lay out etc.

Packaging also top notch too BTW.

I'll post side by side pics.

I knew what you meant they did cut and weld but the research was time consuming and when you see my stocker plenum pics Staurday you will see the top looks nothing like the new one. It's sweet looking compared to the stock one on the top, I can't wait! My goal was to have it on by CMI Satureday and that's gonna happen PLUS my car is tuned right with the body kit and rims!
I can't sleep thinking bout it but I'm heading that way anyway (bedroom) one more day of work.

Trust me the side by side will give you a better picture and the before and after when mounted pics too.

Thanks all!

Not trying to be a downer, but I have to ask. Should the welding be a little smoother so that the air flows in a more "organized" manner. I would think that when the air travels along the top of the plenum, the flow would be a little disrupted by the lip of where the new plate is welded in. Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm no engineer.

I originally thought the same thing. The welds are super smooth on the outside, but the inside shows the raw fit. The lip you see is more of a "down step" in relation to the air flow. So direct air flow is not affected, but I can see where it could cause some turbulence. If it does, it is not much. How do I know, you ask. Well you can hear the air when it gets turbulent in the plenum. The new ones (after the very first one) were put together a little more thoughtfully with all this in mind.
