Default amuse exhaust owners

i was looking at an amuse r1 exhaust system and i was wondering if the people who own this exhaust is happy with it?Is it too loud inside the cabin or not too bad?. Is it really worth the price tag that goes with it and wheres the cheapest place to buy exhaust...i live in canada?

This is a silly question. The people that paid over 2 grand for this exhaust are only going to give you positive feedback regardless of what it actually sounds like.

I guess it's good for bragging rights if you can dump that kind of money on an exhaust, but I've heard a lot of sound clips and that kind of sound coming from an exhaust seems rather unappealing to me.

When I had one, mine droned a bit cruisin on the freeway. Going single turbo kinda killed the nice high pitch sound.

I drove the Amuse R1 Titanium for several months and liked it. However, I didn't like it enough to keep it. The large cylindrical tips and high pitched tone eventually got to me. It's all about preference and what you can afford. That is the same you will read in every exhaust thread started here.

The low tone sounds good to me, I just don't like the sound it produces when it really opens up. The pitch is too high for my liking. But I understand a lot of people like that sound, I guess. I'm more for the subtle rumble tones of something like a Borla or a Bassani exhaust.

I have the Amuse R1 w/ a Nismo Y-pipe. Intake mods are ARC Suction pipe, Pure Innovations Spacer, MREV2, and a K&N Air Filter. It's quieter than the stock exhaust. I remember driving up to a repair shop for somebody to look at it, and they thought the muffler was inside uninstalled in my hatch. With my setup, it's kinda raspy around 2500-4000 RPM, but the rasp is barely audible. The Titanium weight savings is a wash though - it sits at the bottom of the car.

I am most likely going to get rid of mine due to the slight cosmetic damage though, and switch to a Fujitsubo Legalis-R. If I had the chance to buy a Titanium exhaust again I probably wouldn't.

Thanks for all the responses. The exhaust outside does sound very appeling but I just wanted to know if there was anything bad or that people didn't like about the exhaust before i drop $3000.00 on exhaust.

Aside from the price there is nothing wrong with it. Make sure you read about relocating the EVAP canister though.

Damn rattle!!

I'm working on getting rid of the rattle. I'm sure I'll eventually find the thread on this site with the solution.

It's because of the 3" midpipe. There's a brace bar at the bottom of the car about a foot back from the seats. The midpipe goes over that brace, but since it's larger in diameter, it likes to vibrate on that brace bar. Still looking for that post.

About the exhaust, it's a lovely sound. The low pitch is very low. The high pitch is pretty high, but it seems to get really high if you come in with test pipes, headers, etc. I'm running Tanabe Y-pipe to Amuse mid and back. It sounds unlike anything I've heard yet. Is it worth the money, hellz noz. But, if you like quality craftmanship, smooth sound, something that you can resell and something unique, it's the fit for you.
