Default exhaust

i know what youre probably thinkin. but no im not asking which exhaust is best. where i live the police will pull you over and give you a fine for loud and unecessary noise. i want to know if someone knows an exhaust that creates a good amount of horsepower that at the same time is not loud maybe just a tad bit more than the stock one.

You are way off. I am thinking “Why not put an exhaust thread in the exhaust forum?”

+1 for Borla.

But I can also recommend Fast Intentions and Stillen with no qualms. I'm partial to the Borla and Stillen because they are true duals with fantastic gains all around and sound great while cruising, nothing that cops will even notice, and amazing when floored.

For noise levels I would check the Sport-Z magazine exhaust shoot-out.

fujitsubo legalis-r has great build quality, considerably lighter than
stock, not real loud, and has decent power gains

I think some of those results are expired. If I recall, Borla, Stillen, and Injen all redesigned their exhaust systems since then. I could be wrong.

Nonetheless, I liked the way they controlled their environment resulting in accurate dyno results. On the Nismo exhaust, they gained exactly 6 horsepower as claimed by Nismo.

Let's see, adding my recommendation for the B&B, here's the results. Hope this clears it up for you. Do you understand why threads like this are totally useless, and flame fodder? Does this mean the correct answer is Nismo? Is the answer on the list? Does a 'correct' answer even exist?

1 Amuse
1 HKS
1 APS 3"
2 Greddy EVO TT
3 Nismo
2 Borla
1 Fujitsubo
1 Tanabe
1 B&B
