Default Installed my new Helix Test Pipes today

I have stock y-pipe and exhaust and man this is SICK sounding. My car sounds so mean compared to stock. There is hardly any rasp. Overally this is an amazing buy!

oh yeah, a quick metal polish will clean it up no problem. i was just letting him know with test pipes, you would have to clean it more often .

Thanks for the heads up.

LT: before install get a breaker bar, and at least 20" of extension.

i was going to start another tread on this a couple of weeks ago but i'll give my input on the mod here. Installed about 2 weeks ago. love the sound and the smell is not that bad. Throttle response has increased at higher speeds. i find myself not needing to down shift as much. when i'm not at WOT the car sounds pretty close to stock. when i am at WOT there is quite a bit of rasp. me not knowing exactly what rasp is, i compare it to more of a rattling sound around the muffler. i'll gladly give this up for the additional performance.

Allow me to break it down for you. No-rasp sound= Vroooom. Rasp sound= Vrooom brrrrup..bup...bup. I actually like a little bit of rasp; gives a nice "bark" to the higher end of the pitch, just as long as it isn't obnoxious.

Asian, good to know! Looking forward to hearing it at a meet.
