Hey guys, I wanted to ask around and see what people think of what I will be running for intake and exhaust soon...

Intake: Nismo
Plenum Spacer: Motordyne 5/16ths
Headers: Stock
Cats: Helix Test Pipes
Cat-back: Injen SES True Dual Exhaust

Let me know what you guys think of that set up...

In the future I may go with Nismo Headers and throw a Throttle Body Spacer on for the hell of it...

Thanks for the help!

that is a basic Z setup, will give you decent gains. the Injen is loud. BOOMy.

I would not bother with the Throttle body spacer though...

Almost the same setup as you but with kenetix resonated test pipes and AEM CAI instead, and +1 to what motormouth said..It's very loud. Had some rattles in my car due to the setup...but I loved it none the less.

I got a leak in the exhaust and had to put my stock back on and I miss the obnoxiousness of the injen and WOT under load.

I had same setup, just substitute in jwt intake, and it was amazingly loud to the point that i was afraid to accelerate at all if cops were anywhere near me. Sold the test pipes and it sounds good with slight performance increase, but i believe it lost a good amount of acceleration with cats back on. however, it beats having head aches and tickets. just my opinion, hope it helps (as you can tell i'm tired of studying)

Personally I wouldn't go catless. leaves excessive carbon build up on the rear bumper and potential red flag for cops.

More help with what? You haven't described any real "goals" with your setup. ISMSOLUTION is right. . .enjoy your rasp and your drones. . .

It's been proven that you'll lose power with the Nismo CAI. Don't buy it just because it's "Nismo", look up the parts on these forums and see how people rated it.

The MD 5/16" spacer you can't go wrong on. . .good bang for buck bolt on.

Any particular reason why you chose this exhaust over every other one? Just curious. . .

As far as that TB spacer, if you're going to waste your money on that, give it to me to waste for you!

Do you want to keep this car n/a or go f/i? Do some research and planning and see where you want to go.

This is my setup so far:
JWT Pop charger with Z-tube - happy with it, sounds good
MD 5/16" spacer and MREV2 - very happy with it
Impul headers - bought on a whim, could have gotten better for less

Future mods will be: Utec, resonated test pipes, impul exhaust, wideband, nismo cams, lightweight clutch/flywheel combo

my goals are simple. . .i would like an n/a engine with decent power, reliable for daily driving and i can take to the track every now and then.

Read up on some parts, see what suits you and just go for it i guess. Then write up your own review for others to see. . .

Good start but your rev up even w/the mrev 2 will not really see many gains until you tune it...YOU NEED TO get some engine mgmnt..

utec is a good start...

I fixed your post. That's what you should run if you want gains and a sound that won't deafen you.

I ran dc sports headers, berk test pipes, and injen true dual, along with nismo intake, aam 5/16 spacer and utec tune...great power increase over stock but, to me the setup sounded like ****...re installed the stock cats and I'm much happier, sounds perfect now and I didn't lose much at all. If I knew at the time I would've went with high flow cats (future mod)
