MR version2 testpipe, not as bad as I thought
A lot of folks talked trash about MR test pipe in the past, but I can't justify paying over 300 bucks for just 2 pieces of mandrel bend pipe, so hell with it I gave MR a tried. I'm extremely impressed by the fitments and quality, it comes with new fasteners, gaskets
I bought them from Enjukuracing, at first I thought it was the old version with out the flex pipe as displayed on their website; but when I opened the box, it is the new version with built in flex pipe and o2 extension neck. Some people complaint about the old version cracks over time, and the o2 bung location is at 4 and 8 o'clock position, which is a bad spot for moisture build up. The new version move the bung upward and it has an bung extension, so I don't even need to install the non-fouler to prevent CEL.

The weld looks good, flange shapes perfect, and all the holes are chamfered, I like it.
Only bad thing about the install is, the freaking car is from New Jersey, so most of the exhaust fasteners were rusted, and one of it is so bad, we have to cut it off. I'm sure everyone already know, the trick to loosen the 3 fasteners from the collector flange is by doing it from the top of the engine bay with 2 foot extension, all of them are 14mm, and gear wrench comes in handy in this project.

Old vs. new, I saved over 26lbs.

stock header collector

Driver side installed, it clears the heat shield with no problem

Passenger side

Not bad for 130 bucks. I still have the stock exhaust (Y-pipe, mid pipe, and axle back), and it sounds AWESOME.

I wouldn't give them any points for fitment, the use of flex sections in test pipes is so they don't have to be as exact as a straight piece of pipe. Leaves a little headroom during manufacturing.

that's weird..
I have it for over 1000 miles now, few drag strip visit, long commuting, no problem at all.
I'm thinking is there anything to do with installation method. I made damn sure I didn't preload any part of the pipe when I tighten the fasteners.
