This should help out a lot.
I agree,,op could have oiled the Pop charger too much and oil got on the MAF.

I think your filter being very dirty is probably the culprit. My Z has died on me a couple of times when I rev out above 4K or so and then press the clutch in as well. Im not to worried about it, I think its fairly normal as long as it doesnt happen often.

I'm pretty sure this is normal problem...they heatsoak easily and it'll kill the engine if you throw it in neutral and the RPM's crash too fast. try cleanin the filter and clean off the MAF. do you have the heatshield installed (not that the JWT heatshield does much)?

Thanks I will keep that in mind when I get to looking. Its between the JWT and short ram K&N.

Mine hasn't done anything like that and I've been using the JWT for 6 months now. Never once wanted to turn off. Haven't cleaned the filter yet either.

P.S. I hope the engine didn't suck in anything while it was off. =(
Had the same exact thing happen to me. I guess the vibration will loosen up the filter if you don't firmly tighten it to the collar during the initial installation. I just bolted the whole Intake to the tube and thought I was good to go.

Same here, now I feel a bit more better about ordering one. This problem could be serious if it affects me, but what intake would everyone recommend?

so this just happened to me on my way home, was driving normally and all, just threw it neutral while coming to a stop sign and the thing died on me. I installed the JWT popcharger yesterday.

I pulled off the neg battery cable for the night will see how it works tomorrow.

How much would the dealership charge for that? Sounds like the Stillen is the way to go. I am losing my confidence in the JWT again

Agreed, sounds like a very popular intake and comes at a great price but all of the problems just dont seem worth it.
