Default PRM Jet Stream Intake System;now available for 350z

PRM has just released its patented award winning inline filter system for the 350z.
With its inverted conical filter incased in a cylindrical housing this unique
filter accomplishes all the fundamental duties in the performance areana.
-cleans incoming air with a free flowing cotton gauze filter elament
-draws in ambiant ( cold ) air safely with no worry of rain ( hydro-lock ).
-creates a venturi affect with its taper'd housing design
-straightens out air flow = more power & torque
stock oem air boxes make air turn a considerable amount, resulting in a performance loss, quite simply air does not like to change directions
the more turns it has to make the slower it will travel.
Air that travels through a jet stream does so with little directional change.
This system lends its self perfectly to the 350z set up, because of the
stock air inlet at the front of the car, a high pressure area is created when driving which forces air into the inlet to the filter.

Please feel free to ask any questions about our product.

they have pics up....im just curious we would def need dyno numbers for sure . Intakes on these cars are something of a debated subject especially for 06 owners whos intake boxes already come with ducts etc.....

if you can prove it makes power over a stock 06 air box....i may bite...currently that setup looks like it will benefit well from a varis duct.

If you would care to donate an intake for some independent testing, then I would be willing to pay for the dyno time. PM if you are interested.

OK - so obviously a newb to the sponsor thing.

Luca - get us some pic of this thing installed on a car, at all angles. Maybe pics during an install. Video of the sound, some before and after dyno's.

Also - seek out a few members here, stock, to NA to FI modded - have them do independent tests for you. If this really does a good job, in comparison to the other proven products out there for years now...you should be very successful.

Feel free to PM me for any questions, etc.

Rick

LOL-I had a PRM WAYYYYYY back in the day on a PGT. It was ok (safe from rain), but the filter was too small, when I swapped to a larger conical filter it felt faster and the dyno confirmed it.

LOL..this intake looks like a freaking tube with some filter in it. I think i will pass. For $275, i would rather go with other intakes that will basically do the same job for less money.

dyno results will be available soon- our proto-type car got stored away for
the winter, didn't get a chance to dyno it, there is another car in Arizona
with the kit that we will be dynoing very soon. The owners of these cars are
extremely happy with the kit, they can feel more power & report that the
rpm's climb faster & when rpm's climb faster ,your making more power, i
have been doing this for 10 years now, my assumption is 5 to 10 hp to the wheels & and they love the sound, nothing sounds better then a jet stream intake just ask any S2000 owner with our kit, there is a video & sound clip
on utub of a S2000. We will have sound clips of the 350z on our web-site very soon.
On the 350z the sound resinates through the bumper area because of the filter location- its a sweet sounding V6.
Regarding the member who had a PRM on his probe-yes the filters were to small, back then we only had one size filter-check out the new probe kit ?
The filter used on the 350z is 3X larger ,its perfect for this application.
If you visit our web site, click on to RACING STUFF you will notice the worlds
fastest all motor probe i biult, ( mazda 2.5 V6 ) makes 290 hp to the wheels
with filter, i spin it out to 10,500 rpm's, its the only pro-stock car in the field that runs a filter. Flow requirment is a non issue these days.
Regarding the member that wants more pics with different angle shots
e-mail me a prm@look.ca and i will send you some.

^^^ S2K sound clip...

im curious to hear this on the VQ and see some dyno sheets... to me an intake is an intake as long as it doesn't suffer form heat soak... but this design intrigues me... bump for some video and dyno

smoothins out airflow..lol

hows about a before after dyno on an 06'...theres yet to be an intake system better than the 06+ intake box with a K&N filter to my knowledge (that isnt rediculously expensive)
