Default Ordered my Intake today

Well i have ordered me a NISMO Intake today from the dealership. Suprisingly it turned out wayy cheaper than i expected. I paid 262$ with taxes. Retail for the intake is somewhere around 350$ if im not wrong. Anyway, im in my 3rd day of owning my new Z and i was wondering of how hard it is to install the intake. Do i have to remove anything else besides the stock airbox??

What year is your car? I just installed the NISMO dual intakes on my 07 2 weeks ago. There was more things you had to take apart but it was not hard. If you have an 07 I can post a sound clip if you would like. Sounds good.

Not much of a sound clip but its something. I love the sound. When you floor the car the intakes sound really sweet.

Yes and if I owned a racecar that might be a concern. But since its a street car I do not really care. I like the aftermarket look and LOVE the sound. Sounds way better than stock.

Aftermarket intakes on the Z=waste of money and loss of torque. There's hundreds of threads about this. OP, did you research about this?

you won't even notice the sound after a week or two.. i know. Also for fun, after you install the nismo intakes, try put them back to stock a couple months later. I wouldn't be surprised if the car felt quicker hahaha.

The difference in price is negligible IMO.

I got a popcharger for my 03. I know it's not effective and doesn't change anything, but eh it wasn't that much. In my mind, I believe that if I fabricate an air-director from my front grill that shoots incoming air up to the filter, it'll get rid of the heatsoaking problems.

LOL, no matter what forum there will be always someone to give some negativity in any way. BTW i see your username is SRT. Did you own a SRT before you bought a Z?? I traded my SRT-4 in for the Z, and i must say i made the wisest decision by far.
