Here is another faster little trick..........

Put two really good tie wraps around the exhaust hanger doughnuts and tighten the hell out off them........this will keep the doughts from stretching while motoring down the road.

i just installed mine last night, and of course i knew about this thread, BUT i never read it!

man it was rattling like crazy, aweful sound!

i fixed it this morning after reading this thread. all i did was turn the mount upside down, and i also safty wired the black thin steel box away from the passenger tail pipe.

thanks for the tip!

sorry my car is too low to get pics now. BUT in the directions it shows a piece of metal (bracket) that you have to add to an existing 8mm stud. that bracket looks like an L. you want to make sure that you place the bracket on the stud such that it will hold the rubber hanger in the hi position, putting more tension on the hanger. otherwise your exhaust will hang to low.

does that help?

Will the hose clamps evently cut up the exhaust hanger rubber doughnuts?

Have my installer loosen the pipe after the catalyst and move it upward, I think the rattle is now gone...or less noticeable now

I guess he didn't adjust it enough on the first time..

I had the rattle. I just cut up two pieces of 1/4" thick hard rubber and wedged them between the resonators and brace. Haven't had a problem since then.
