Default Nismo Vs Xo2

im caught in a debate right now. i currently have an X02 exhaust, and i must say that im satisfied with the sound and performance of it, but i can get my hands on a nismo exhaust for cheap right now. What do you all think about the nismo exhaust design? do you all think ill lose any topend power going from a dual set up to the single nismo?
Thanks in advance!

You didn't gain any power by going to the XO2 so I doubt you'd lose anything. Exhaust purchases on NA should be based on sound quality alone.

nismo is an excellent choice for N/A Z's. if your ox2 is starting to rust at all, i would get rid of it in a hurry. it seems to be more of a problem for people who live up north.

App6MT what are you talking about?

There are definately gains from exhaust modifications...i don't know where you've been, but exhausts have been dyno proven time and time again.

As far as the OP is concerned, it really is up to you. I'm pretty sure you won't feel all that much of a difference from switching, but you will definately lose a bit HP going from a TD to a single. However, the nismo exhaust is quality stuff, and it sounds sexy too. Hope this helps. OH yea, the nismo isn't prone to rusting either

I think I'd get rid of the x02 in a hurry. At least the Nismo won't rust out.

+1

IMO the only thing is that people overestimate what an exhaust system does, performance wise. a fully developed exhaust system will without a doubt provide performance gains.

you definitely gain some hp by going from the stock to a true dual system but not much. If you go to the nismo, since it is not true dual it will yeild a bit less power but not really a noticeable amount. You can really tell a difference from test pipes & stock cats though. The nismo will sound much quieter so it is up to you if you want that sound.

you are getting more power from x02. it is just fine for what you paid for it.

i got rid of mine only because i saw a deal on a crazy Japanese system.

so i say keep it. save you $ for something better. nismo is blah.....

Xo2 will prob yeild more gains, but nismo will be a lot better quality. I've had experience with both so I'm not being biased.

If the X02 isn't rusting, then I'd say keep the X02.

Better yet, keep the X02 and get custom tips to avoid any problems.
