Default Nismo R tune CAI

After I installed the Nismo R tune CAI, I noticed a performance drop. It feels sluggish in low RPMs, kinda like its missing some torque. I have had it installed for about a week now and it doesn't seem to be getting better. What shoud I do? I haven't "reset the ECU" either.

I might be wrong, but I think most intakes are only good for high RPM???? for a Type R, the AEM ram air brings the most noticeble difference when the VTEC kicks in.....just my 2 cents...

Funny, I LOVE my Nismo CAI. The car feels more powerful with it than it did on the Borla duals alone. Doesn't it sound a bit like a jet plane taking off under hard acceleration?

It sounds awesome, but I notice less torque at the beginning than before. I have the INJEN SES dual exhaust also. Could it be the ECU?

It might just be your imagination. The Nismo CAI should bring minimal gains down low also.

Oh and I think you should reset the ECU also. Let the car idle for a little while afterward.

Thanks, I'll try resetting the ECU, before I do anything else. But I swear it feels a little less punchy off the line.

With a long tube CAI you WILL LOSE low end power. Gains are to be made up top.

Long tubes = High RPM Power
Short tubes = Low RPM Power
