Arrow Stillen Exhaust for Sedan gives 23hp????

http://www.stillen.com/product.asp?i...r=&make=&model

They claim that on the 03-06 sedan this exhaust gives 23hp and around 21tq. How is this possible. My friend just bought a 06 G35 Sedan 6mt and it has a Rev-up in it, will he see 23hp? I dont understand how thats possible, people try there hardest to squeeze 20hp out of these motors with every bolt-on available and even with a great tune can usually only squeeze out about 20hp.

So is stillen got the seceret formula for sedans to get 23 hp?? My friends sedan is rated at 298hp/260tq.. 350z's with the Revup motor only make 300hp, I understand that the sedan exhaust causes the 2 hp loss and the Z/G coupe exhaust flows a little better making the 2hp difference....But people put all kinds of exhaust on there revup Z's and Ive never heard of somebody getting almost 25hp from some pipes.

Im thinking that the Sedan is juiced up a little for the choked exhaust that they put on it, Nissan probably wanted to make the sedan quiet yet still perform so by removing the stock exhaust u maybe unleash the monster?????? I dono...

If this is possible then im gonna rig this exhaust up on my car.

this is not just on there website its on everywhere that sells this system for the sedan.

Its impossible to get 23 HP from an exhaust on a Z/G if you are NA.

Ok hear this, earlier G sedans were 260 Hp with the same motor as the Z's and G's. Possibly on the older sedans there was a major HP increase???

I think people are getting out of hand with this "HR gains massive horsepower from just exhaust."

There maybe a few that gained unheard of numbers, but I've seen many gain the usual 8-10whp. And about that Bassani that gained 27 ft lbs torque was just a scam! Forum member Hiz-and-Herz did an independent before/after dyno and gained a real 8-10whp. That seems more along the lines of what any other year model Z would make.

You're right and I apologize. It wasn't meant as a "OMFG LOOK AT HR MOTORS". I think a lot has to do with the translation of bhp to whp. Of course marketing will get ahold of the bhp number and post it because it obviously shows a greater number and people perceive it at that.

because this same topic has been discussed many times before about inflated manufacturer claims ever since the Z came out. you will find the same thing with intakes as well.

Check the other thread. I'm trying to remain civil but you're coming off as a pretentious, know-it-all dick.
