Cool! It does sound raspy. I think I'm good with just a Bassani cat-back.

Rasp is the only downside...but, as I'm still on the quest to find a TP or HFC w/true dual set up for my N/A HR, my Bassani will likely go up for sale (or possibly trade).

Did you get the metallic or ceramic cats? Do you think one would cause more rasp over the other?

From Berk's site:

Dual 60mm High Flow Catalytic Converters (HFC). Metallic substrate spun catalytic converters, OBDII & 49 state compliant. Full stainless steel construction. Metallic substrate offers higher flow and lighter weight. Uses advanced spiral wound ultra thin foil. Includes our custom made 99.99% pure electronic grade copper gaskets.

Not sure if ceramic or metallic is the principle factor in the cause of rasp--I'm leaning more toward incompatible pipe sizing. Got exhaust flow going from 60mm HFC into a tighter 57mm pipe. I'm going to try finding a 60mm catback to test the theory.

Update: after a little research and chatting w/fellow Z drivers, I think I may settle on the Fast Intentions Intimidator (if I can also get it w/slightly larger tips, e.g., 4.5" or 5"). This, of course, mean my nearly new Bassani system will go up for sale.
