I'm in the process of removing the driver's side Nismo header to fix a rubbing problem! When turning right, there is a definite rub(steering column & header)! It's only a slight rub but it is a definite problem that can only be cured by making a small depression in the header!! SOMEBODY else has got to have noticed this-why just me! It takes about 3 hours to remove & put back on.

I have driven his (mjedens) car and the nismo headers do infact rub on right turns (not much but just enough to bother you). I remember the stock manifold has an indention where the steering shaft runs. I did not get to see the NISMO headers before they went on but you would think they would be ok.
Sorry to hear that the rubbing did not go away. What are your plans now?

I thought C/V joints were on every car, my mistake.
Your both right. CV's are on every car. It's how you feed drive to the wheels. FWD usualy have unequal length CV's although more now are comming equal length. RWD have them in the rear, unless your car has a solid rear axle. AWD... you guessed it, all four wheels.
K guys, no need to make fun of someone cuz they didn't know something. How else will they learn if they don't get involved in the convo. Next time just correct the person and tell them they're wrong instead of laughing at them. Thanks.

This is the first time I've heard of this. We have sold a lot of these and the last thing I need is pissed off customers. I will contact my hook up at NMC on Monday and see what they have to say.

Sorry I wasn't laughing at the guy just at the comment. Unless these are rear engine cars then the "CV" joints are def. not rubbing the headers. CV joints are on FWD cars only and perform the same job as a U-joint on a RWD car. Some of you may be referring to the halfshafts that are on IRS cars but not on soid rear axle cars (SRA). Halfshafts are completely another part. Anyways, RWD cars HAVE NO CV JOINTS. So yes, the comment is FUNNY!!! Lighten up some jeez. Just because something is funny doesn't mean people are being derogatory when they laugh. Humans laugh at amusement. Nissan350ZTT says many funny things.

If so, he may have gotten a set that aren't to spec.

Are the Nismo headers hand welded (due to the bends, similar to what the Crawford headers were going to have to be)? I thought I read somewhere they were.
