Vids on the way. It's done....it screams past 4K RPM. At 1-4K it's a nice growl/bark.
Much louder than I expected however...but I love it.
No drone at cruising speeds.
BTW...cost me $106 OTD.
Gonna coat the piping in some high temp paint tomorrow.

Yes black. Ya I thought I could already hear it quieting down after putting about 200 miles on it earlier....but then I figured I'm just getting used to it also.

Ya it's way louder than I expected. And a lot more raspy than the other vids I've seen.
I'm not really upset about it b/c like I said I'll be going turbo soon enough but not sure why mine sounds different.
It basically sounds like I have TP's on stock exhaust.
I'll get more revving vids today....I was in way too many residential areas last night to be revving her.

btw...in person my buddy (DiamondBob) from ChicagoZ said it sounds almost exactly like the Injen SES exhaust.

The second vid is more accurate on how mine sounds in person. On my vids you can hear the deep growl of the exhaust but in person you can. What gives,eh? lol

I dono??? I just unbolted the 3 nuts on the back of the exhaust before the mufflers and I didn't like the sound. Just sounds like an exhaust leak to me hahahah. On the video it sounded ok but in person I don't like it. I just bolted it back up and Im loving my Z sound much better.

I like it. Another local member with a g35c has done something similar. Sounds nice in person. Even better that he doesn't have to spend $1k+ on some aftermarket stuff. I would think this mod would be less offensive to cops and NIMBY type people as oppose to some giant loud fart can.

I could understand running no muffler on a full track car, but let's look at the real reason you did this to your car. You didn't do it for any "performance" you did it because you wanted your car to be loud. You could have easily bought an aftermarket exhaust, or hell stayed stock and ran test pipes and the car would have been loud as ****, but looked nice and been respectable.
It's just irritating because a lot of us put thousands of dollars and countless hours into our cars to make them our own, and then guys like you come along and **** it up with cheap shortcuts. I know I'm not the only one who feels this way about it either.

This Z04 ***** does need to get off his horse! I think the Z sounds great! And with it still having stock tips and being lowered, the cops will never know. There are far more cars out there with louder exhaust than this one and they never turn the heads of the 5-0. There's so many other idiots out there for them to worry about that this exhaust should go unnoticed.
Also, not all hondas are cheap. The car itself, yes, but there are a lot of people out there that know what they are doing and spend their money pretty wisely to get the power they've got. I'd say that this guy got great results for the minimal amount of money spent.

I like the idea. If I had a Z, I'd probably try it, but I'd paint the setup flat black and also add some resonated exhaust tips. I'd also make sure the bend to the driver's side pipe was a little more flow friendly.
