Default IMPORTANT QUESTION regarding an intake

what is the cheapest, half decent cold air intake that i could get in order to increase MPG in any little way? would a $100 intake be sufficient? keep in mind, i'm not really worrying about horsepower at the moment, just miles per gallon. any suggestions?

none. if you are worried about fuel consumption 1, you bought the wrong car and 2, you would be better off keeping the OEM air box and tossing in a K&N filter.

Sounds like you need a Civic or Prius intake.

Increase HP = Decrease MPG

Attempt to increase HP = Prob Decrease MPG

Don't let the needle touch above 2500rpm, drive slow, make sure to not use AC, keep the windows up so you're not creating drag, while your at it fill up on regular that'll save you a lot right there...

On a serious note you did get a sports car if you get an intake that'll make you want to hear the suction that comes with therefore causing worse gas mileage. If you just want an intake and don't care about the MPG's I have a JWT pop charger and that works just peachy Cheers and G/L

JWT popcharger , its gets a little better MPG if you can stay out of the gas.

Ding Ding Ding key part of that is stay out of the gas. That's the best and only key to great gas mileage. Drive it like a granny. No spirited runs and no ricer fly-bys. It won't matter which mod you get for your car it won't matter if your foots to the floor. But then again what's the point in having a Z if you don't get on it once in awhile

hmm, I always thought it was more hp=easier to get to speed with less throttle=better mpg. but still have to stay out of the throttle. I had just the K&N drop-in till I went turbo, and it worked great.
