I ordered the nismo exhaust gaskets over a month ago, and they're still not here yet. I was told they were on national backorder, i so i guess they're shipping them in from japan or something. Does anyone know how long it takes to ship a stinkin gasket set? I can't install my entire exhaust system just because i dont have these gaskets right now...it's a little annoying. Any help would be appreciated.

why the hell would you order nismo gaskets if theyre on back order? like you said, youve been waiting to put on your exhaust. did you just order them because theyre nismo? gaskets are gaskets, go to a muffler shop and get the right size gaskets. I got my 2.25/2.5" or whatever they are for my test pipes to y pipe and the 3" gasket for the y to mid pipe at a muffler shop. Better than waiting months just to be able to slap an exhaust on.

 

Try this:

a. With pencil and paper rub the exhaust connections.
b. Take the pencil rubs to a auto parts store so they can match them up with proper gaskets.

is the hardware from the stock exhaust system compatible with the nismo exhaust system? because i know that the nismo gasket set comes with some hardware too. If the hardware is all the same, i might just end up canceling my order and buying some autozone gaskets or something. I wanna get this thing installed!

nismo requires 3" gaskets

go to any muffler shop and say u need
2 3" gaskets with 2 bolt flange

 

I ordered the kit, because I couldn't find anything at any parts stores or exhaust shops around here. The mid-pipe to canister is actually a ring/crush gasket, and is slightly larger than 3".

 

so the nismo gaskets came in today...i was going to take in the exhaust tomorrow to get some "no name" gaskets, but heck...i waited long enough for these things to come, and i know they were meant for this exhaust so i'm just going to put the nismo ones on. I plan to have this exhaust on the car for the rest of its life anyways, so i might as well have the right parts for it so i never have to mess with it again. Thanks for the help though guys...and no, i wasn't ignoring davidv because that was exactly what i was going to do (if the gaskets hadn't come in).
