Dont know of a silicon tube enclosed intake, but check this out man: Blitz Sonic intake. The filter is fully enclosed. Hope this helps -Mark.

better than any metal intake tube i'd imagine... as far as better than plastic or carbon fiber i can't say... but i would think so if my chemistry classes from h.s. serve me well....

prm racing...that's the one I was looking for. how does the idea sound??? a varis duck with the prm straped straight on the turbonetics kit. that would make the turbo sound awsome.... plus it will have some function.

the gentleman from prm told me that an air duct with that particular intake is a no-no....

why would this be a bad idea???...
the varis duct brings a mesh that goes in the opening, therefore preventing any large debris getting thru. I'm going to take some measurements and determine the exact dimensions I'm going to need.

Large stuff probabaly isnt the problem, water is what you need to watch out for.
