Took my K&N filter off to clean it and I am not sure which way it goes back in is it

Im glad im not the only one to have this problem. I would say a B and thats the way i have mine, no dirt has gotten in so far.

daily driver.... 108k on the clock.


Of course I reoiled it. I was just getting done cleaning it when I forgot which way it was in there.

It should be where the fins are pointing out in the direction of the front bumper. These keep debris away from the inner part of the filter.

In other words, the smooth side should face the rear of the car, not the front.

B - the smoother side of the screen faces to the front of the car, the filter plugs into the intake housing where the MAF connects, then clip the power duct housing onto that. A is backwards. I used the same filter in my Z and G for years until recently replacing with a different setup.
