Default Having problems with AEM cold-air intake

I recently installed an AEM CAS in my '03 350z. The car starts but quickly shuts off after a few seconds. I disconnected and reconnected the battery...still doesn't work. I checked all the clamps to make sure there isn't air leaks...still doesn't work. The MAF is plugged in and is working fine. I'm out of ideas. Does it matter that I didn't disconnect the battery when I first started installing the intake?

I have the battery disconnected now and I'm going to leave it off overnight to see if they CPU resets. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

I think you have installed the Air mass sensor backwards. I was helping a buddy of mine with the same symptom. He told me he installed it, and the car just shut off on him, and VDC and all of the lights came on. We ended up discovering that the airmass sensor was installed backwards.

it def sounds like a maf sensor issue. try what changvi said, and verify your installation. if not, then go buy some maf cleaner. you didnt drop it, did you?

tried that. The MAF only fits on one way. Also tried to reset the ECU using the technosquare method and that didn't seem to work either.

than your MAF is either dirty, or you damaged it. 9/10 these symptoms are caused by a dirty, or damaged, MAF.

Auto parts store usually have CRC MAF sensor cleaner. Usually in a silverish gray bottle by all the other cleaners.

when you had the intake off the car, did you mess with the throttle body at all? Did you push the butterfly valve in with your finger? if you did, you need to run the TB reset procedure. Symptoms of a TB that needs calibrating is stuttering on start-up and stalling. The car will run fairly normal besides that fact.

Could happen by accident. I had my TB out yesterday to install some stuff and at one point while I was holding it I lost track of where all my fingers were, and one of them just about touched the butterfly valve, so you have to be careful!
