Yes, i will stay tuned. There is reason why i'm looking for used set of nismo without Y-pipe ( and JIC) . But Tony has used nismo, he wants to get rid of them so we will see.

Hopefully we can get a good results and sounds. I will wait for your vids and reviews.
well i was gonna get res TPs, but then yesterday i saw cops doing random emissions inspections and got kind of scared... i also drive my car 50 miles a day on the freeway and dont know if i want such a loud sound... i think im gonna go with some high flowing HFCs (such as Berk metallics)... they should flow almost as good as test pipes... and ive had them before, so i know they sound great!

yes... the XYZ pipe + resonator, or XYZ pipe + straight section, or XYZ + catalytic converter (if your running TPs)... there might be more...

Tony,

I read you may have MD testpipes coming soon as well, any info on these or maybe a timetable coinciding with the XYZ? I'm thinking your testpipes->XYZ->catalytic->Nismo...

hey man, any plans to test out the XYZ with the straight pipe? Im interested in getting the XYZ but i dont want it to sound tamer (resonator) so i was thinking about the straight pipe. Will you be testing this out too?

if tony wants to swap one in for me when we do the rest, then sure we'll do it... i cant speak for tony but since he made it so easy to swap that section in and out, i dont see him having a problem with that...

Yes, test pipes are on the way but they will come out after the catback exhausts.

Sweet. I am also interested in checking out the sound of the MD y-pipe with straight section and also resonated section. I would like to hear which one sounds better.

well scratch that... im picking up some non-res test pipes for now... so itlll be very interesting to see the difference in rasp with the resonator vs. straight section...

Tony this may be somewhat of a loaded question, but how much do headers matter once you have all the rest of the exhaust system optimized?

I believe it helps but I havn't personally dynod it like that.

A while back I did pre/post test headers with stock cats and it was a complete waste of time.
