I'm not at liberty to say how its done, but its an extremely thin, glassy layer of Titanium Dioxide on the Ti. When its at just the right thickness it causes diffraction of light at varying wavelengths.

Kind of like a prism. Hence the colors.

And if you've ever seen a prism diffuse light, you know the colors it creates go well outside the range of what a typical digital camera can capture.

And that is why it looks so much better when viewed with the naked eye. From one angle its a pale blue. From another angle its a deep purple.

The same spectral shift applies to the other colors too.

Hey 3kgtslflip I wanted to also just say a big "thank you!" to you and all of the other service men and women who are fighting for our freedom!

I have a contact who specializes in making life in the desert a little more bearable for you folks. He can send care baskets with cigars, starbucks coffee, toiletries, cookies etc for you to share with your fellow service people.

I don't want to get off topic here so just send me a PM if you're interested and I'll give you the details.

Also, Tony, I'm really impressed with the preliminary pricing. You guys are doing an awesome job of making the system affordable!

I most of missed it but whats the other Ti tip for? Another option for the end user?

I cant wait till everything is released. Money is ready to go, looking out for a complete motordyne header back system.

PLUMPZZ,

I just got off the phone with MRC. Julian said will be free to dyno your car this Tuesday or Wednesday.

Please call and make arrangements with him. He should be recieving the full exhaust system today.

Lets get this done!

All I ask is that the dyno is done properly, and they don't intentionally choose the lowest pre-install numbers to show us.

Tony my ear was ringing for a couple of hrs after hearing the shockwave exhaust!! If you want race car loud this is the exhaust to get with the option of switching to Very Quiet (rear section) quickly.

Good to hear, eta on everything else, tony? (Dual, testpipes, etc.) I have been holding out for quite sometime since you mentioned you were developing an exhaust a year or two ago (can't remember when exactlly, but a long time ago)

its for those that destroy them somehow, not necessarily because they tarnish.

or even sell them to the X02 guys when theirs tarnish out.

I doubt MRC would fudge numbers, don't even start with that.

I'm sure there will be multiple independent dynos - so concern about one series of tests shouldnt be an issue... there will be many to make an informed decision from.
