They are one of the top quality test pipes out there. I sure hope they fit the XYZ. I guess I'll find out when I test out Tony's new exhaust.

.
yeah but they never answer their phone... i might order some through a vendor though...

Question

^^
So you are planning to get the following setup?:

TP, MD Y-pipe w/ Resonator, Nismo mid-pipe and muffler.

Would it not be of more advantage to put the resonator immediately following the exhaust manifolds? Like this:

Resonated TP, MD Y-pipe w/ Straight Pipe, Nismo mid-pipe and muffler.

^^The idea behind the XYZ pipe is that you can run multiple configurations. By running straight pipe off the exhaust manifolds into the XYZ you are the. Given the option of straight, HFC, or resonated into the mid pipe. By using resonated test pipes you are stuck always running a resonated system.

if i run this: Resonated TP, MD Y-pipe w/ Straight Pipe, Nismo mid-pipe and muffler, its the same as running res test pipes and nismo exhaust pretty much which will rasp...

the whole point of me running the test pipes and the XYZ with resonator is so that i still have the flow and gains of test pipes and with the large resonator after the y-pipe getting rid of the rasp...

if i run the res test pipes and XYZ with straight pipe ill still get rasp cause i highly doubt the res test pipes will get rid of the rasp.. thats the whole point of that resonator thats attached to the y... i hope that made sense, tony can clarify if he wants

that made sense. as for me, ill be doing the opposite of you. i got on HFC so whatever rasp there may be right now, is not really bothering me. however, a slight increase in volume would be nice so HFC + XYZ with the straight pipe for me. Hope everything at Motordyne is coming along nicely

Hi guys,

Good news from pilot production / test fitment today.
We implemented a change in one of the flange angles to allow for additional clearance.

More clearance wasn't needed in the first several vehicles but not every car is the same... The angle change allows for much more clearance and its good to go.

Many more will be comming off production this Thursday. Friday is when I will get the first few articles to ship out to MRC for the independant dyno testing.

Several more independant tests will follow shortly after.

Note: Its not officially out of the beta testing stage yet, but the confidence level just went up a good notch.

Tony how soon would you say that you will have the 3" exhaust for FI applications with the X pipe and your HFC/TP?

Exhaust sound quality it very subjective and completely varies from person to person.

What one person thinks sounds good may sound like krap to another. And that's 100% normal.
