Default Need help locating a Cyber like noise like a robotic zing

I hear it when I get on the gas pedal in 2nd and 3rd. I hear it on video clips as well when they just do a nutural rev. Sounds like a cyber noise like a robotic zing, or rattle. Anyone know what this noise is coming from?

I'd start with the gas pedal.

With the ignition on but the engine stopped, put your car in neutral and press the gas pedal.... its quiet.

Now put it in gear and do the same thing over again. You will hear a modulated buzz.

If that noise matches the sound you are describing, it is the throttle body opening and closing by way of electrical pulse width modulation.

Its not a gas pedal sqeak. With all the intake and exhuast noise, you can't hear a gas pedal or clutch pedal sqeak anyways.

I though that it could be the ypipe deal but my set-up is stock. I also thought it could be a heat shield loose but it sounds more in the engine bay area by driver side. TB sounds like a good theory because I know its not uncommon as I hear them in video clips. Vrrooooooom..rpm drops...ZiiiiiiGGGG. Vroooooom........ZiGGG....I AM A ROBOT, STOP ****ING WITH ME! BOOOM!!!

You can hear it on this clip. Check it out. Listen to when the rpm drops and when he disappear into the background in 3rd gear.

Check sway bar clearance and heat shield clearance.

sounds like a vibration...well, all sounds are vibration, but something vibrating against something when you drop through that rpm range and it hits that pitch. I would check your exhaust clearances along w the sway bar and heat shield suggestion.

I just realize that I hear it on my car only when I accel in 2nd and 3rd whereas the guy in the clip, his does it when rpm drops. You guys probably right about the heat shield caused by back pressure. I check it out the next time i change my oil. Thanks
