well that what it is. no need to bolster it. he builds Ferrari race motors, period. i bought everything and hes going to assemble it for me for free since we're good friends. i figure if he can build TT Ferrari motors that make 900+, there shouldnt be any problem

if Adam is Z1, then yes I know... thats what my recent posts were about...

I'm looking at cams & headers and was considering waiting for his long tube project in the hopes of gaining some bottom end... for now Crawford are about as close as I can get...

I never seen or heard crawford gives you more gain than others.
Yes, crawford is high quality and expensive.

DC and strup is also good choice.

whether or not it is "not true at all" is undetermined at this time for the VQ motors... my comment was based on known facts/test results with long tube vs short tube headers on a high percentage of engines. i'm definitley not denying your knowledge, just throwing out my opinion on what i think is going to happen with long tubes on the VQ.

Crawfords are "Medium length" headers. They accomplish this with their "Spaghetti" tube design. I have DC Sport headers (Nismo knockoff), but wish I had gone with Crawfords instead.

Adam's motor with the Crawford Medium length tube headers:

Ya know, I'm not actually sure. I collect pics of various things as my own build progresses. I think I have every pic of Adam's car he's ever posted up, ____jb, sentry, and a few others~ Lol! :-)

Some guy in the Netherlands posted these long tube pics up originally. I think he got 'em off eBay.

Here's what they look like off the motor. They don't look very 'clean' to me (especially the two rear cylinder tubes with all the right angle bends) and I don't think I like the placement of the upstream 02 bungs since they only measure cylinders 2 & 5, instead of all the cylinders collectively; but hey- if they work, they work. I just wouldn't put 'em on my car. :-)
