for the stillen true dual guys...
i have a stillen true dual with resonated test pipes...yet i still have a little rasp. i've done some research and i found out that it may be because of the test pipes...
question 1: do you stillen guys with cats still have rasp?
question 2: did any of you guys add resonators to the piping to eliminate rasp?
question 3: what can i do to get rid of this annoying rasp!? lol
im hoping the problem lies with the test pipes because i have to replace them due to a crack that formed on one of them. i was thinking a hfc or maybe test pipes with added resonators on the piping themselves.
thanks!

I would assume the resonated test pipes should do their job to resonate the sound. What kind of resonated test pipes?
You confuse me. You say you have resonated test pipes. But you want test pipes with added resonators??

well the resonated test pipes dont do the job of killing the exhaust rasp..
i believe they are megan racing...well they look like them at least.
im just going to go with a straight through test pipe like the ultimate racing ones but add two 22in magnaflow resonators.
now heres another question...do i add them before the x or after the x...because my gues is that the most turbulance comes after the x...which may be causing the rasp. thus adding resonators after that would help to clean up the rasp.
educate me if my current knowledge is whack.

I have had the Stillen Dual since 2003 and Ive tried just about every thing . RC cats , test pipes , resonated pipes , straight pipes [ still on the car ] and one other brand of HFC . Im not sure its been a while and I'm old , but the other brand may have been Crawford cats . And the Crawfords were the only thing that didnt rasp . Im looking for a set of cats right now [ used ] to put on to get rid of the rasp now that I went back to N/A . It to loud for me now that it isnt F/I any longer .

yea mine has an x pipe as well. im going to go with the resonators after the x pipe...booger i'll let you know how things go after the installation. friends dont let friends drive with raspy exhausts. lol
i come from driving a heavily modified honda. we are the kings of rasp. my old setup prior to turboing it had rasp that i cleared up with a magnaflow resonator. hopefully two will do the same with the 350
