the sound is find and the rasp isnt bad either....i was just nervous about the smell at first

 

my car smells like mad gas when its left idling and all i have are berk hfcs, i guess i may have a leak though.

 

yea i also only smell it at stop lights sometimes. and when backing it up. i love smelling it : )

it just smells when you are stopped i mean just roll your windows up if it smells that bad to you

 

I get a headache every time I park and exit my car from the fumes. But it's worth it

 

Cops dont enjoy the smell either, my test pipes and my greddy evo 2 stunk it up bad for about a week. Its also easier to detect leaks in your exhaust (if you happen to run into any i had my welds break on my injen 2 times), because the smell will get insanely awful with your windows down.

 

i'm sure i have one or two leaks. i gotta go back over the exhaust and retighten everything down this weekend

 

A lot of people with z's also expect their cars to ride like a luxury car and be quiet like one too... Hence the complaints.

 

This maybe a noob question but I have to ask... can you pass state inspections with test pipes?

 

Most likely not but different areas have different requirements.

Ask that same question in your local Tx. forum. They can give you a better answer.

 

I like the smell much better than the rotting egg smell that the cats give or the holes in the concrete in my garage from acid dripping on it. To me it smells like a gasoline engine should smell toxic lol
