Default DRONE!!!!

so i got an automatic and besides doing the whole tiptronic shift deal im looking to get some sort of tranny kit that will let gears wind out a bit more before the tranny shifts into next gear.i got the injen ses exaust put on with the injen intake and it sounds awesome if im really on it but when im driving around town doing 30-35 mph it sounds like crap!kinda like i have no exaust on it at all,is what it sounds like.if i shift myself and wind out the gears a little longer its all good, nothing sucks more than doing 30 mph in 5th!!any advice?

why don't you just use the tiptronic that is what it is their for. The auto is setup for gas mileage why would you want to ruin that.

cause the noise it makes is just at a certain decible which makes my head vibrate,my brain hurts.i would like to use the tiptronic which is what im doing now,but i got the auto to chill and drive, cause i dont want to worry about shifting and when i shift down to first to stop at a red light it just doesnt seem to shift into first smoothly sometimes,i dont think its good for tranny in the long run.

You shouldn't have to shift back down to first when coming to a stop unless you going for maximum engine braking. I just shift down to 3rd when stopping and then the computer will automatically shift to first smoothly one I get under 10 mph.

The Injen Super SES Cat-Back Exhaust is what it is. You are not going to fix it.

If gear control is what you're after, then control your gears. Use the triptronic, drive 30mph in 4th....no point in trying to change it some other way. You said you don't want to worry about shifting when you drive, you really don't have to. It downshifts for you...just upshift yourself and don't go into 5th.

They didnt say fix the exhaust, they said that is a characteristic of the exhaust.

you bought injen exhaust.. its not exactly a higher name brand exhaust.
HKS exhaust is pricey but is actually quiet around town, its so silent.

I dont have tiptronic anymore, but I used to have it in my old Prelude. When coming to a stop you dont need to downshift at all. From what Ive read, the tiptronic works in the Z the exact same way as my old prelude. Your auto is not going to allow you to kill the motor, so that should take care of that. Downshifting in my old lude was scary, it didnt rev match. As far as your drone, like others have said, it is what it is, tis why you research before you buy. live n learn. I bought my prelude without researching, 78% failure rate on the tranny. We all make mistakes.

people with sports cars shouldnt care about gas mileage. u bought the car for one reason, to have fun with it. who cares about the gas mileage, it's all on how u drive a car. and if ur buying a sports cr, ur bound to have a heavy foot.
