Default New R2C Performance Intake *PICS*

Many of you have never heard of this company, but believe me they know what they are talking about. I approached them a little over a year ago to design an intake system for the Z/G. After a lot of R&D and patents they've completed it. Here are a few bad pics. I believe they have some better ones on their site http://www.r2cperformance.com/
They also explain why the material used for their filters is superior. And the intake tube is rectangular in shape and larger than the stock tube. Very noticealbe gain in 2nd and 3rd gear. Also, their filters require NO oiling! Never. Check them out.

better design woulda been to just slot the intake tube for the MAF sensor, so they would not had to go with such a steep taper. then use a filter with the same diameter as the pipe.

back to the drawing board

yea I like the design but when the sponser came on and made a thread about it I guess he was asked questions thy he couldn't prove so he deleted them all. I like the filter and the design kinda. However to convince someone to spend that much money on a not know or hp proven intake is gonna be kinda hard.

The stock MAF housing and stock TB are still the limiting factors in this intake. So don't expect to see any dyno's cuz it ain't gonna make any more HP than a stock intake...

Now if you could incorporate an oversized MAF assembly and oversized TB, do the supporting intake/exhaust porting & cams to match, then dial-in a good tune for that combo, we'd be getting somewhere...

I emailed the guys at R2C and they said they're working on getting dynos. I also asked them how much the filter for the K&N would cost and they told me $70.00!!!!!!!!!
