Default replica hks

so my friend introduced me to this guy (not personally)

but he is selling a full dual cat back for real cheap. i

asked him what brand it is and he said it was the replica

of hks hi power full dual. obviously since it's a replica he

is selling it for half price, around $500. he also showed

me a video clip on youtube showing same performance

gain on a dyno as the real hks hi power (about 9hp gain)

also the pictures and everything looks exactly like the

hks. apparently he also sells this on ebay too.

so my question is.... what do you guys think? should

i go for it?

Search for the words Xo2, cxlighting, ebay

You will get flamed on this site by the "elite" aka HKS nutt huggers.

500 bucks is more than many are paying brand new for this exhaust....your getting screwed.

if its XO2 brand then some have had rust issues. esp those in the rust prone states.

If its CXlighting(CXRacing) there have been no documented cases of rust problems.

The HKS replica is a pretty good exhaust IMO. I just had mine installed, and I think it's pretty damn good for the price. Asking $500 for a used one is a real ripoff, though. Look up user name CXLighting on eBay and you can get a brand new one from him for about $460 shipped. He ships real fast.

Correct me if I'm worng, but the Z isn't even assembled in Japan. When I bought mine, the tag on the window said "Final Assembly Los Angles" I thought that was odd. Or it could also mean that some of the parts get put on in L.A. Anyone have some insight into this?
