It sounds ridiculously similar to a Supra. Just for comparison, here's a sound clip of the same exhaust on a Supra...notice that it sounds...very similar.

HAHA I have that video, and the funny thing it sounds exactly like that also inside the car if not more aggressive... I'll post a video up soon of the inside of the car sound

 

Looks good, sounds better! I wonder, do you think there would be any way you could place the muffler itself more towards the front of the car in the piping so you couldn't see it? I had a canister muffler on my old car and hated how it looked and always regreted not having the muffler placed under the car with just the pipe showing.

Even the sound of that thing is turbo-ready. Just begging for a blow off valve. Good choice, gets rid of that warm V6 hum I don't like.

 

Have you guys seen this? I saw the post on clubsi Pretty sweet looking ride. A little loud for my taste but still nice.

Yes -- nice looking and sounding exhaust. And I imagine it's even better 'in person.' Too bad it's so difficult to capture live sound accurately.

An exhaust-sound-clip archive is sure past due, isn't it? So far I've heard this one, the Legalis R, Borla (live), Nismo, and B&B. Sound recording problems aside, the Nismo beats them all, for me. Anyone know where I can find a Stillen clip?

Hmm, well your car is beautiful and the exhaust sounded plenty "deep and strong" or whatever but that could be because I'm running a 500watt 5.1 system on my PC, but I gotta say I didn't like that odd vibrato sound that occurs everytime you let off the gas. That sound seems more embarassing than cool.

The exhaust definitely looks great though, and I'm sure it saves weight nicely as well. And it's loud. And I bet once you strap a snail on that puppy it will sound better.

 

Interesting... someone actually managed to mangle the beautiful sound of the 2JZ-GTE's inline six cylinders. I guess it's just the HKS cf titanium exhaust that just sounds funky, not that he's lacking a turbo on his Z.

 

Are you talking about the backfire when you let off the gas?? Because that's normal and is heard on many exhaust systems. It is deep and strong and it wasn't encoded in 5.1 so your not getting anymore than anyone else that's just running stereo sound and a sub. I also have 5.1 and it sounds the same in my room and my office which doesn't. Both have subwoofers, which I know the sub makes the difference!
