Default Best Exhaust Sound Clip inside NO BORLA or others NEW!

That's right! this is the Best exhaust in my opinion and for my use and not for everyone. Let me tell you why...

First off this is a custom HKS Carbon Fiber Titanium exhaust 3" meant for Turbo, or turbo ready applications. Since I will be going turbo I will not settle for less. I can gurantee that most of the exhaust systems out there will not be very good for turbo applications, but that's a different subject I don't want to get into. There are many reasons why I didn't get other's exhaust system. Actually, the best one IMO is Injen if they didn't have that ugly flare in the end of the tip like a HORN! If they would of made it more clean looking I would of bought it, than again they can't satisfy everyone. But their sound sure sounds good. Anyhow, with so many exhaust systems out there I couldn't decided what to get... Borla just isn't loud enough and Im sorry, but I don't care if that thing made 20whp I won't put american parts on my car.. It has nothing to do with racism or anything, as I love Vipers and plan to own one, but we have a Japanese car and I like to keep it more of the Drift/JDM Car. That's the way I build and modify my cars, and im sure others feal the same. Some people want to go ALL NISMO, whatever...

So I decided to go Custom and went the HKS way.. First off the installation took over 5 hours its a true mandrel bent cat-back exhaust system. the shop that did it also mass produces exhaust systems so cloning this can be easy. Now I had a sound in mind, and that is the sound of a TT Supra. Well, It didn't take much trial and error because we achivied it on the first try. WOW!! AMAZING, just the sound I was looking for. This guy is very professional and I told him the sound I wanted, he used the right size resonator and all. The guy took over 1 hour just to angle the muffler to make it look perfect. He is a perfectionist. We did a before and after Dyno and the car made an extra 9.7whp. Now, im not here to brag or try and sell this system for its power, but the sound is what got me. I took it to 2 of my SUPRA Owner friends and they were impressed of how close it sounds. Anyhow, I did a clip of the sounds.. In person it sounds a lot better than your computer because everyone's computer is setup differently like BASS volume subwoofer and you can actually drone the sound.. But hope you get the idea... Here are some pictures. If anyone is interested in this setup let me know as we are working on a price..

You're right about the sound! It's awesome!! WHat kind of front bumper do you have? It looks really nice. Is your Z lowered? I know you're going for the Supra look but, what if you were to have it be a dual exhaust?? Is it possible? Will the sound change for the worse/get better?? Let me know cause I have yet to find an exhaust that I like and yours has caught my eye.

good choice on exhaust.... i chose the same one also with 3" mandrel bending.... i am using stainless 3" from the downpipes to the hks muffler.

ps. i had my rear bumper filled in on the passenger side, so it doesnt look so funny with one canister..

Its a Trust front lip, yes the car is lowered. I would love to have it dual exhaust and I was going to try all means, but the sound is just so PERFECT FOR ME, and people that have heard it have stopped me and ask cause its VERY DEEP and agressive. I am sure it might alter the sound I just don't want to try it yet...

It doesn't look bad in my car cause its black... GOOD CHOICE, this thing makes mad power top end it pulls hard!! And I don't even have an intake... like I said im going turbo, no need to waste my money on intake now...

Nice exhaust, nice video. I like the way it's sounds. I'm thinking about going with a single pipe Supra/E36 M3 style. You have any idea how much it weighs? Also how much does it cost?

Nice car!

Sounds sweet man but a little ricey. Borla True Dual sounds more exotic like a swarm of hornets IMO.

I think the dual systems allow the resonance waves to bounce off each other producing that sweet barbling rasp. It's like comparing a Ducati to a GSXR - the Gixxer sounds good but the Duck sounds sweet.

Don't flame me out now...... just my opinion

HAHA anyone with a Borla exhaust come down to our shop and I will film it... I have hear it and believe me, HKS does not sound rice.. Than again it doesnt sound like that in the video either.. This thing IS LOUD!!! and deep, actually it might be to loud for some of you, but I have the silencer which quiets it down a lot.. Anyone local can tell you its VERY DEEP. And thats one reason why I got it because I dont like the RICEY sound... I will upload another "HIGH QUALITY" Version of the video which makes it sound even better... I have heard the Borla in person sounds ok to me...

Hmm, sounds good but I still prefer the borla, guess it sounds more exotic to me..
I'd like to hear your car in person sometime at a meet or somethin though.. Good to see people coming up w/ their own exhaust systems that are gaining a good amount of HP!

I just upgraded my dual Tanabe RacingMedallion exhaust, from gen1 to gen2. I actually have one that gains HP rather than looses HP. Sounds very similar to yours. Your sound bite is awesome btw. Hella nice work.

Sounds pretty good but I agree with z461, I like the Borla better. It sounds almost Italian to me.

It looks a little out of place with the one empty space in the rear bumper.

Maybe if you wax it up with that special top secret Ferrari/Lambo stuff, it'll sound even better!

Sure, next meet I will go and you can hear it in person. It truely is a more deeper and aggressive sound than "video".

If I wanted that "wannabe exotic" sound I think I would of kept my old setup... (removed the resonator). Actually, does not look out of place and looks more like a JDM car you see with the single like the Trust car from Japan. Like I said before this is actually not for everyone, but fits my current future setup 100%. I give respect to Borla for their nice HP gains, but I would rather RICE my car out first than putting american products in my Z just not the style i am looking for... Unless that company was only for japanese cars again don't want to get on this subject...

Wicked what are the specs on your tires and rims. I think you have volks gt7's. correct.

Volk GT 7 19x8.5 in the front and 19x9.5 in the rear
235x35x19 front and 275x30x19 in the rear..
