The stock strut bar will fit with the 5/16" spacer.

The Motordyne 5/16" kit comes with longer bolts and aluminum spacers to raise the stock strut bar. You don't need an aftermarket strut bar for the 5/16" kit.

It also comes with longer bolts for the upper plenum.

I used the parts bag from the kit to hold all my stock pieces just in case I ever want to pull the spacer out.

The 1/2" kit is the one that does not fit and requires an aftermarket strut bar.

Highly recommend you have a torque wrench available when re-assembilng. If you torque the upper plenum bolts down too hard, they can crack the upper plenum.

Search threads I've started in this section. I have a write-up I did on the spacer, with lots of pics. It might be helpful...

it will fit with the washers/spacers that are provided with the motordyne kit... although overtime the spacing between my strut bar and upper plenum (with the plastic cover) started getting way too close and it actually developed a vibration.

the strut bar is off right now, but im just gonna add more washers to raise the bar more and that should fix the prob..

Had a similar issue , and made the stock bar fit but the it touched the hood and made it prop up a little , Try the Greddy strut bar , I test fit it and it worked fine but took it off again to paint.

You don't need to put the spacers under the strut bar with the 5/16'' spacer but I would anyway just to make sure. Then you can tighten down the strut a little more.
