Killer... From what I understand, Doug is talking about some buy back program for those wanting to "upgrade" to the polished.

We'll see what he says!

Ditto on the above - I don't care what it looks like, I just want it to go fast (although I gotta admit it looks sweet). Anybody who wants to get rid of their original and trade up to the new version should send me a PM (try the above guy first though since he had the idea).

To anyone at Crawford...

1 - Forgive my ignorance, but like some others, i didn't like the original because it looked to 'raw'. Consequently, I neve bothered looking at the price. What is the price on the regular plenum and the estimated price on the polished one?

2 - Any chance of getting a group buy going on these?

3 - Do I get a discount if I buy a pair of kittens and the polished intake??? Please email me a price on these items.

To anyone on the board...

Has anyone set up FI (that is an ATI Procharger) with the Crawford plenum? If so, is it turning more, less, or the same HP as those without the Crawford?

Thanks!

Jetjammer has the Crawford plenum and ATI Procharger on his 5AT Touring model. He can tell you more about it, but preliminary result suggests that he is only putting out 5-6 psi on a 7lb pulley! He believes that it's due to the plenum, Nismo Headers, and Weldina exhaust. Engine is very efficient right now, so max boost has not been achieved yet .

Actually, Max was putting out 6.2 psi with his 7 psi pulley. The pulley that comes with the kit is setup for 7 psi, so IMO, the increased area that the crawford provides in the intake causes the boost pressure to decrease to 6.2 psi. Does this increase or decrease the HP put out by the procharger??? A dyno is the only way to really find out.

No one knows this for sure. What has to be done is, someone with an ATI install, needs to verify that they are getting 7psi, if they are, add the plenum, then see what it's at then. Do we know if everyone is hitting 7psi as is, without plenum?

Default 7 psi

I am hitting 7 psi now without the plenum. 350 rwhp. I will have the "Bling" plenum installed this week and redyno.

Sweet, paulo! Thanks for being on the frontline yet again. I'll be very interested to see the crawford vs non-crawford ATI dynos...

I have to say that the plenum looks really nice but have you seen the price!!!!!!!! No Way! I also have to give my stock one up for a core. I think I am going to wait for Top Secrets plenum to come out to the US. That is just way to much money for a modified plenium.

That's a big if... the word of mouth was $2k IF it was even to be released here. More so they developed it exclusively for their turbo car... so plan on +$5k to really get what its good for.

The guy here locally in the states supposedly duplicated it... yet neither from them NOR TS have we seen any dynos. Many fret, including myself that NA the TS design plenum, with the extremely long runners isn't gaining that much at all.

Evil350z:

I understand I am planning on the Greddy TT setup. I am also familiar with the plenum by lsd but have not heard or seen anything for a while now. I think the crawford plenum is great with good proven dyno numbers but I am still going to hold out and see what else may come out. If not I might end up buying a crawford but like I said it's still to expensive.

Well, the biggest question for me is how this plenum will react to boost, whether it increases HP under boost. This is a question that hopefully Paulo's dyno can solve, cause I want to see a dyno with just the plenum and FI (in this case, ATI).

Someone needs to ask Max. He had the ATI and crawfords plenum. Max was always doing many, many, many dyno's for the good of the community. Does anyone have contact with Max that could relay the info to us here on the board??

That would be greatly appreciated. Or maybe he's gone to another Z site. I think I'll go look for him.
