Default Exhaust Install HELP **Pics**

Ok so I am trying to install the TURBO XS EXHAUST, I know a couple members had a problem aligning the Y-pipe flanges to the two cats. Unfortunately, I am having this problem right now. Can anyone tell me what they did to align the Y-pipe please?

I had to loosen the bracket that hold the cats together, and muscle it into place on my bassani x pipe... its sucked but managed to do it.

I hope you're not bolting (and tightening) one side down first and then doing the other side. Hook both sides with the bolts then tighten both sides progressively (so you relieve any tension and unnecessary force on the flanges and their welds). If you keep forcing it, you can also break the welds (not too likely, but can happen). In addition, if and when you do get everything bolted, keep in mind that the pipes are under constant pressure (as you had to force them into place). So, if you race, the welds will give sooner or later. Perhaps you should visit a muffler shop to heat the pipes a little (you'll have burn marks on the pipes, though) so the metal gets a bit softer.

I've broken 3 test pipes (even after rewelding with stronger welds) so far.

Yeah I wasn't bolting down anything before lining up the pipes. I would line up the two holes on one side of the Y-pipe to the cat and ATTEMPT to line up 2 holes for the other side. Is there maybe a difference between the 03-06 piping versus the 07-08 pipping?
