Motordyne XYZ/Shock Wave dyno results!
Put on my Motordyne XYZ pipe with resonator and Shock wave exhaust today at All Aspects in Chesapeake VA.
My car was previously tuned at another shop and left making 260hp /240tq. So the dyno reads slightly lower than the last one.
Run #2 was the highest with with my original set up: Nismo exhaust, Berk test pipes, Stryup headers, 06 air box/KN filter, Motordyne 5/16" spacer, Mrev2, and a tunned UTEC.
Run #6 was with the Motordyne XYZ with resonator and the Shock wave exhaust, nothing else was changed!
Run #11, we got bored and figured the car would like some more fuel! A few pulls and some taking apart of the dash and that's what we got!
So now my car is faster, lighter, runs a little safer, and just a tad bit louder.
SAE graph temps in the low 50's, 11% humidity:
Some pics!
The guys at the shop were VERY impressed with the product, and especially with the attention to detail.
Excuse the burnt plastic bag on my test pipes and yes we positioned the last clamp better.
Thanks again to Tony at Motordyne and Kienan and Vern at All Aspects!

So, if I went back to the other dyno it would read higher. The point of the thread is to prove that the exhaust made power.
Different dyno's mean different numbers.

Nice information. Thanks for posting..
So you made 8 horsepower in the top end just by swiching out the Nismo exhaust for the MD one. Also you gained a little area under the whole curve..not bad!

1) Performance.
2) Performance.
3) Performance.
Overall, the system is not just performing 8HP more than every other system its compared against. Its making 2X the gains of every other system its been compared against.
I wonder what kind of gains it would make when Vortec boosted to 11 PSI?

Hey tony is the dual shockwave without the trumpet making the same kinda gains? Or is it quite a bit lower? I just cant get past the tip lol. Other then that the exhaust is amazing.

has anyone compared dyno results of md resonator and md straight
pipe with shockwave exhaust and xyz pipe? i am so ready to buy one
of the md systems but trying to decide which one-contemplating
a dual shockwave and running all the time or getting vq for daily and
shockwave single for track.
