The diffuser tip reduces exhaust system pressure drop by 0.7 PSI. ...It also enhances the sound quality.
Yes, the diffuser is louder than a regular tip but it also does something really nice to the sound quality. You have to do a live side by side comparison to appreciate it. It reveals engine sound detail that doesn't come through on video.

ok cool i figured knowing you there was a good amount of research that went into just the tip. But i wanted to see what the power difference was between the two. Still trying to get some money together lol .

The single and dual are very similar but with a small edge to the single.

As the current trend shows, without the XYZ pipe, it should still make a couple extra Hp over any other exhaust that does not swap out the Y pipe.

It will make gains but it will definitely do better with the XYZ.
It also sounds a lot better too. The stock Y-pipe sound is somewhat dull.
The sound becomes a lot livelier with the XYZ. Its loud yet practical and the sound quality is awesome.
But look out if you add unresonated test pipes to it... WOW!!! Its 10X more intense and krackels like lightning bolts are shooting out of the tip.
Its not for everybody, but damn I love it.

Yes, I'll be trying that next. I'll post pics.

No tickets. ...Yet
In fact, I've been driving around many cops with no reaction.
I even had a cop on my tail after turning through an intersection... no reaction. But I made sure to barely touch the gas pedal on acceleration.
All it takes is one good stab of the gas pedal with a cop around to get. ShockWave on test pipes is 110% street Illegal.
Of course the axle back section of ShockWave can be switched out for the VQ muffler for near total silence. Or the Harakiri or Gamma muffler as intermediates.
I switch through them from time to time for a nice change.

The Harakiri single is much quieter than the ShockWave))).
But if you are running a high power TT (600+HP) system you may want to wait for the full dual 3" system.
The dual 3" system will also have all the axleback options of ShockWave))), Gamma and Harakiri but I will put a lot of effort into making the option for both quiet and high power simultaneously.
I know a lot of people need quiet and high power together on their FI systems.

I've been looking for information on the Gamma and Harakiri singles
Do you know of any websites or distributors?
I'm not in the 600 ball park and i don't intend to be so it's not an issue.
I'm probably going to stick my my oem y-pipe until you release a 3" xyz. Cause I'm cheap... lol

For the limited introductory phase, there has been quite a few dynos, sound clips and pics posted recently... and more will continue on different configurations.
