Water to Air intake cooler
Ive been searching for a while, and cant seem to find what setup is truly better. a water-to-air cooler or an FMIC. I know the WTA coolers are usually cheaper, and if used correctly could save a lot of pipe distance on twin and single turbo kits. The manufacturers description I read on a site that was selling WTA coolers claimed that the WTA cooler made the air cooler than a FMIC. Any info would be awesome.
running a wtc you still need some type of pumping system and some type off raditor to cool the water down...as for piping it depends where you locate it. i know i had a hard time trying to find a spot to locate my catch can and hks cdi...i couldnt imagine where you are going to install a wtc under the hood...so the most logical place would be in the front...so why bother with the wtc if it has to be mounted in the front....simple is better...that is anther thing you have to worry about leaking(water)...go with the fmic. it is a reason why every body else did.
good point, i hadnt thought of either of those problems. Either way, im not going to buy either anytime soon, but i WILL be going FI in the future and im trying to get as much info about possible setups as I can.
