VIDEO: Custom True Dual Maganflow catback!
Acoustically, any length of pipe has a resonant frequency, even the exhaust tips. Does it affect the sound, yes. Will it be significant and noticeable in this particular case, probably not.

EDIT: To everyone else that seems to think it should be cheaper, look around and see how much stainless steel costs for a mandrel J bend, figure out how much piping is required, along with all other necessary hardware i.e. flanges, hangers, etc. It's not as cheap as some think.

as a guy who runs his own shop, i can say that $700 for that is wayyy to much. mostly because i don't believe for one second that any of the bends are true mandrel. they all look to be non-fold tube bender work which is not true mandrel piping.
now for those also then saying you could have done true mandrel for $400-500, you are absolutely right. YOU could have done it, yourself, with mild steel mandrel, a hack saw, and probally a stick welder.
$700 for a true mandrel mild steel dual exhaust done properly by a shop is about right. I'd charge somewhere in that range, but i also don't use anything but 100% tig welding and quality connections by break areas (not a huge fan of tri flange or knuckle joint fittings, always go v-band where i can).
Had it been stainless though, that much stainless in true mandrel and custom would be a four figure exhaust easy.
Anyway, to each there own. To the OP, you might want to consider taking the exhaust back out and painting it to prevent corrosion down the line. Looks like it's all aluminized mild steel, so it's gonna get icky after a few heat cycles and some road time in the real world. Take care of it now before it gets bad.
