Default VIDEO: Custom True Dual Maganflow catback!

First mod i've done to my z. I got it done this tuesday. I am VERY pleased with the outcome. This video shows how it sounds in various conditions, as well as the construction under the car. Ace Muffler here in San Diego did an OUTSTANDING job. It looked like a work of art!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5MGUAQqr14

Tell me what you think!

EDIT: Whops! Forgot the specs. The piping is 2.5" in diameter from the cats all the way back. Its a dual in, dual out magnaflow canister after a custom Y "pipe" fitting. No resonators, OEM tips.

EDIT 2: (7/18/2009)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJ8hESP1aw8

There's an "updated" video after a decent break in period. Forgive the cheeziness. I'm a big fan of Wangan Midnight. It was recorded as a spur of the moment thing with my friends N95 Nokia.

Yeah.. $700 is a ripoff...
110 bucks for the muffler
100 bucks for piping
about 2 hours worth of welding and bending pipes.
having your uncle take care of you... priceless

That's a lot of cash for custom. I'd expect 300 tops. Are there exhaust flanges there to take the exhaust off?

He charges 700 out the door. I paid less than Cost. I do graphic design and I did work + some change for the exhaust. If it were YOU it would be 700 dollars.

Thanks for your concern. I am very happy with it. But dont worry, i didnt pay that much for it. Thats just what he wants me to quote people with.

Exactly. I've heard same exact setups with different tips that sound HORRIBLE. I dont know why the tips make such a huge difference. I really do love the tone the stock tips give. thats the reason why I used stock tips. I'm not trying to defend myself, im just explaining a cost breakdown. I could have included a few extra bucks for tips, but it would have been a waste of money for me.

I posted the video so people can hear/see first hand, maybe if they were considering it. Im not trying to impress ANY of you. So if you want to go bend over for a fast intentions exhaust, or another similar "custom" exhaust for over 800 dollars. be my guest.

Thanks for the compliments.
