Motordyne Dual Shockwave w/Ti Tips Pics/Soundclips
~ 30 days. The Helmholtz mufflers are being custom made right now. All new tooling and everything. They will have hemispherical end-caps as opposed to a disk welded over the muffler nipple like shown in the prototype pictures.
I suppose we could start a pre-order list.

The TDX Shockwave))) V2 will have far less drone than your current setup.
Drone at, or very near, ZERO.
EDIT: You know Raj will be doing a review on it very soon and he has Turbo too. Lets see what he finds. ...And he had the Greddy too so he can tell you exactly what the comparative differences are.

Hang in there Brian, 1 or 2 more weeks. I have 2 of the 4 muffler options and will put together the highest quality side-by-side sound clips I can (this will be with APS 3.5" test pipes, TDX cat back, to the 4 axle back "quiet" options).

Thanks for doing the test Raj. It's really helpful to get a scientific test when it comes to sound rather then a word of mouth.
Can't wait to get one of these quieter axles back on my car. How long do you anticipate it'll take and will you compare it to the Gamma as well?

^ Well missed FedEx yesterday (wife didn't tell me!) and today - they left notes.
I should be able to go get it tomorrow and have everything ready for back to back sound testing/recording this weekend.
I'm going to do a direct comparison to the Shockwave. I don't have gamma mufflers. So 5 different axle back designs in total. I will purchase one of the 4 (most likely the quietest) and send the rest back to Tony.
I will have to leave dyno testing for the near future (between the shockwave and VQ axle back I choose), but the sound comparisons should be posted into this thread by early next week.

I am told a large box arrived. I should have everything (5 motordyne setups).
I can't make any more excuses for delays.
I'll get some pics up tonight. Sounds clips by next Monday.

someone correct me if I'm wrong but the shockwave v2 will be quieter then the original one along with have very little drone and be a true dual exhaust? Is the ~30 days you posted higher up on this page for the v2 release? Expected price for it with the larger rolled burnt tips? Any deals for locals who could pickup
Yes, the V2 is currently in production now. Or at least the sidbranch mufflers for it.
They will be in the same price range as the Gamma exhaust. $1585.
Tips of course can be blue or silver, straight or rolled.

I no you stated they would be a lot quiter but can you compare the loudness to maybe another exhaust, bassani, injen ses, etc. Sounds like this might be the exhaust ive been looking for but hoping its not to quiet.
Its definitely not a quiet exhaust.
Its Shockwave))) loud but with no drone even with HFC's on.
I havn't tested it with test pipes yet but you can be sure it will be loud. And even if some drone comes through with test pipes, it will be much, much less on the V2.

If it's not too much trouble, please take some pics of all the axle backs side by side. Thanks a bunch.

That was the plan last night actually, but I got back way too late. This day job is driving me nuts.
I did unpack all eight mufflers from the two huge boxes and everything appears to be in good shape (well packed!):

Thanks Raj!
The Shockwave and evoTT are actually quite similar with the Shockwave being a tad bit louder but with a slight bit less drone. The evoTT is deep sounding all the time while the Shockwave sounds deep at low rpms but also has some higher frequency sounds as the rpms go up.
